In preparation for an upcoming reaccreditation visit by the Higher Learning Commission, we are required to show evidence of “institutional policies and processes that ensure advertising and recruiting information to current and prospective students about its programs, locations and policies are accurate, timely and appropriate.”

While my department obviously is mindful of such things on a daily basis, we do not have formal board, administrative or departmental written policies or procedures in place that specifically address the issues mentioned above (i.e. that marketing/recruitment information is accurate, timely and appropriate).

Does anyone have examples they can share of similar board policies and/or written institutional procedures that address “truth in advertising” and/or accuracy/timeliness/appropriate for marketing/recruitment at your institution?
